Refund Policy

1. Overview

This Refund Policy ("Policy") governs all refund requests for HookMafia subscriptions. By subscribing to our paid plans, you acknowledge and agree to the terms set forth in this Policy. This Policy is incorporated into and subject to our Terms of Service.

2. Free Plan

Our Free plan is offered at no cost and provides access to core features with usage limitations. Since no payment is required, no refund applies. We encourage all users to thoroughly test the Service using the Free plan before upgrading to a paid subscription.

3. 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee

3.1 Eligibility

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for your first paid subscription only. This applies to:

• First-time Pro plan subscribers
• First-time Agency plan subscribers
• Users upgrading from Free to a paid plan for the first time

3.2 Guarantee Terms

If you are not satisfied with your subscription for any reason, you may request a full refund within 7 calendar days from the date of your initial purchase. The refund request must be submitted before 11:59 PM UTC on the 7th day following your purchase.

3.3 What's Covered

• 100% of the subscription fee paid for the first billing cycle
• Both monthly and annual subscription payments

3.4 What's NOT Covered

• Subscription renewals (second billing cycle onward)
• Previous subscribers who cancelled and re-subscribed
• Accounts created using promotional or discounted pricing (unless specified in the promotion)
• Accounts terminated for violation of our Terms of Service
• Excessive usage: Accounts that have generated more than 50 scripts or used the Script Remix feature more than 10 times during the 7-day guarantee period (indicative of policy abuse)

3.5 Fair Use Limitation

To prevent abuse of our money-back guarantee, we reserve the right to deny refund requests from accounts that demonstrate excessive or unusual usage patterns during the guarantee period. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Generating more than 50 scripts (hooks, full scripts, or product scripts combined)
• Using the Script Remix feature more than 10 times
• Bulk downloading or exporting content
• Usage patterns consistent with automated access or data scraping

These limits are designed to allow genuine evaluation of our Service while protecting against users who exploit the guarantee to obtain free service.

4. Refunds Outside the Guarantee Period

4.1 General Policy

After the 7-day guarantee period, refunds are generally not available. Your subscription will continue until the end of the current billing period, after which it will automatically renew unless cancelled.

4.2 Exceptional Circumstances

We may consider refund requests outside the guarantee period in the following exceptional circumstances, at our sole discretion:

• Service Unavailability: Extended service outages (more than 48 consecutive hours) that materially prevented you from using the Service
• Billing Errors: Duplicate charges or incorrect billing amounts due to our error
• Technical Issues: Persistent, documented technical problems that our support team was unable to resolve
• Unauthorized Charges: Charges made without your authorization (subject to verification)

Exceptional refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to request documentation or evidence supporting your claim.

5. Non-Refundable Items

The following are explicitly non-refundable:

• Partial Periods: If you cancel mid-cycle, you retain access until the end of your billing period but will not receive a prorated refund
• Unused Credits: Any unused generation credits or features at the end of a billing period
• Downgrade Differences: The price difference when downgrading from a higher tier plan
• Third-Party Fees: Any fees charged by third parties (e.g., bank fees, currency conversion fees)
• Promotional Items: Free trials, promotional credits, or bonus features
• Terminated Accounts: Accounts terminated for violation of our Terms of Service

6. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, follow these steps:

   • Your account email address
   • Date of purchase
   • Subscription plan (Pro or Agency)
   • Reason for refund request

3. Await Confirmation: You will receive an automated acknowledgment within 24 hours confirming receipt of your request
4. Review Process: Our team will review your request and respond within 3-5 business days

6.2 Required Verification

For security purposes, refund requests must be submitted from the email address associated with your HookMafia account. We may request additional verification for large transactions or suspicious activity.

7. Refund Processing

7.1 Processing Time

• Review Period: 3-5 business days from receipt of complete refund request
• Refund Initiation: Within 2 business days of approval
• Bank Processing: 5-10 business days depending on your financial institution

7.2 Refund Method

Refunds are processed to the original payment method used for the purchase. We cannot issue refunds to a different payment method, bank account, or as cash/check.

• Credit/Debit Cards: Refund credited to the original card used at purchase

7.3 Refund Amount

Refunds are issued in the original currency of purchase. We are not responsible for exchange rate differences or conversion fees applied by your financial institution.

8. Subscription Cancellation

8.1 How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Account Settings in the dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

8.2 Effects of Cancellation

• Continued Access: You retain full access to paid features until the end of your current billing period
• No Automatic Renewal: Your subscription will not renew at the end of the period
• Data Retention: Your content and data remain accessible; your account downgrades to the Free plan
• Re-subscription: You can re-subscribe at any time at the then-current pricing

8.3 Cancellation vs. Refund

Cancellation prevents future charges but does not automatically trigger a refund. If you wish to both cancel and request a refund, please follow the refund request process in Section 6.

9. Chargebacks and Disputes

9.1 Contact Us First

If you have a billing concern, please contact us at info@hookmafia.io before initiating a chargeback with your bank or credit card company. We are committed to resolving issues fairly and promptly.

9.2 Chargeback Policy

Filing a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us may result in:

• Immediate suspension of your account pending investigation
• Permanent termination of your account if the chargeback is found to be fraudulent
• Collection action for the disputed amount plus chargeback fees
• Prohibition from creating new accounts

9.3 Fraudulent Chargebacks

We reserve the right to dispute chargebacks that we believe to be fraudulent or made in bad faith. We maintain detailed records of account activity and will provide evidence to payment processors as necessary.

10. Annual Subscription Refunds

Annual subscriptions are subject to the same 7-day money-back guarantee as monthly subscriptions. However, due to the discounted nature of annual pricing:

• The 7-day guarantee applies to the entire annual payment
• After 7 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable
• You may cancel at any time, but no partial refunds will be issued for the remaining months
• If you need flexibility, we recommend starting with a monthly subscription

11. European Union Consumers

11.1 Right of Withdrawal

Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, consumers in the European Union normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases. However, this right does not apply to digital content services once performance has begun with the consumer's prior express consent.

11.2 Waiver of Withdrawal Right

By subscribing to HookMafia and checking the consent box during checkout, You:

• Expressly request that the Service begins immediately upon payment
• Acknowledge that HookMafia is a digital content service not supplied on a tangible medium
• Acknowledge and agree that You lose Your 14-day right of withdrawal once the digital content delivery begins

This waiver is in accordance with Article 16(m) of the Consumer Rights Directive. Your consent to this waiver is recorded at the time of purchase.

11.3 Our Guarantee Still Applies

Although You waive the statutory 14-day EU withdrawal right, our 7-day money-back guarantee (as described in Section 3) remains available to EU consumers on the same terms as all other customers. This voluntary guarantee provides You with a refund option that exceeds the requirements of EU law for digital content services.

12. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that transaction.

Material changes to this Policy will be communicated via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
